This website is a purely static site without a database backend, without login, without contact forms, and without tracking cookies. Personal data is only processed when you actively contact us via email, or when you explicitly enable external content (Plausible, YouTube, OpenStreetMap) via the cookie banner.
On your first visit, we show a banner with a choice: Accept or Decline. Before your decision, no external services (Plausible, YouTube, OpenStreetMap) are loaded — neither scripts nor images.
Your decision is stored exclusively in your browser under the localStorage
key tt-consent. This is not a cookie and the information
is never transmitted to our server. You can reset your choice at any time via
Cookie settings in the footer, or activate individual embeds (YouTube preview,
OSM map) on a per-click basis without a global decision.
Legal basis for loading external content is your consent per § 25 (1) TTDSG and Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR. Storing the consent itself is permitted without separate consent (technically required) per § 25 (2) no. 2 TTDSG.
Our hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH automatically logs standard server access data in so-called server log files when the site is accessed:
Processing is based on Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in server security and stability). This data is automatically deleted after 14 days and is not merged with other data sources.
If you consent via the cookie banner, we load Plausible Analytics for anonymous statistical evaluation. Plausible uses no cookies, does not persistently store IP addresses, and creates no personalized profiles. Data remains with Plausible Insights OÜ in the EU (Estonia). Loading the script briefly transmits your IP to plausible.io where it is not stored. Plausible is not loaded without your consent. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.
On the home page, we embed videos via YouTube's enhanced privacy mode
(youtube-nocookie.com, provided by Google Ireland Limited). The preview
thumbnail is itself loaded from Google's image CDN (i.ytimg.com), which
transmits your IP to Google. For that reason we load neither the thumbnail nor
the video until you have consented. Without global consent, you can load an
individual video by clicking the placeholder — that counts as consent for that
one video. Google's privacy policy:

In the “Where we fly” section we embed a map from the OpenStreetMap Foundation (St Albans, UK). Loading the map transmits your IP to OpenStreetMap Foundation's servers. Incoming mail to @towtechniks.com is forwarded through
ImprovMX (ImprovMX SAS, France) to our personal inbox. On receipt, the
sender address, recipient address, subject and content briefly pass through ImprovMX
servers; no persistent storage takes place there. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR
(legitimate interest in maintaining business reachability). More information:

When you contact us by email, your information (email address, name, content of the message) is processed exclusively to respond to your inquiry. Legal basis is Art. 6 Sec. 1 lit. b or f GDPR. We do not pass on this data to third parties without your consent.
