The TowTechniks T2 Payout Winch

A DHV-certified payout winch for flatland paragliding — winch-tow launching for solo and tandem pilots, no mountain needed. Built, tested and flown in Geilenkirchen.

Launch anywhere

Up to 10 flights per hour, reaching 1100 metres of altitude. Mounts on any car towbar or boat — turning a flat field into a flying site.

The TowTechniks T2 payout winch for solo and tandem paragliders — DHV approved, refined for a better tow.

Remote controller

  • Live line tension readout in kg
  • Released line length in metres (1500 m on the drum)
  • Low-line warning on the display, about 250 m before the end of the rope
  • Daily tow counter (resettable)
  • Lifetime tow counter (no reset)
  • Payout speed in km/h — around 20 km/h gives the pilot the best climb
  • Beep and flash on every drum revolution — 8–10 per second indicates a good vehicle speed
  • Solo or tandem mode
  • Guillotine button (emergency line cut)
  • Reset button
